This tool in your control panel allows you to compress your directories and/or files located in your web hosting account and save them to your home or office computer.

This is an excellent way to backup your own files. Your backup  can serve as double protection should anything ever go wrong with our backups. 

As stated in our policies, we cannot guarantee the quality of our backups as these are geared more toward restoring an entire server. 

We strongly recommend that you make it common practice to backup your own web pages whenever you make significant changes to your web site. In the event that we are unable to recover your pages you will be able to restore your own pages.

How it works:

Once you've compressed your files, you can FTP the saved file to your hard drive for safe -keeping. You may leave the copy in your web space account.

If you ever need to restore web site using the compressed file, simply to this part of the control panel and select the file that is compressed and click "extract."
